Motorcycle Roadracing Returns to Adams Motorsports Park

Sep 17, 2008, From a press release issued by SCMiniGP

SCminiGP Race #6 will be at Adams Motorsports Park in Riverside, CA September 20-21.

This is the first time in years that a motorycycle roadracing event will be held at Adams and it is shaping up to be a great event. Adams is a great practice track for many socal locals. The banked turns are what make this track different and Saturday night practice under the lights add another dimension to riding.

SCminiGP classes range from 5-10 year olds on entry level Blata 2.6 pocketbikes to the PRO GP class boasting high speed 2 stroke 92cc and 4 stroke RS150R bikes with everything in between. The 50 Light class will be the race to watch on Sunday. Only 2 points separate the top 3 riders (Daytona Anderson, Jason Aguilar, Aaron Villasenor) and they will all be looking for the win to get one step closer to taking home the championship.

Saturday night will feature our 50 Heavy vs. Thumpstar Team Shootout. This has turned out to be a very exciting and competitive race. You never know what will happen when these 2 teams hit the track. The teams are tied at 1 win each. This is the home track for the 50H team where they are favored to win, but the Thumpstar team won't go down without a fight. Anyone racing with SCminiGP on Sunday that has a bike/rider that qualifies for the 50H or Thumpstar classes may compete. This will be one to watch!

Practice will be open on Saturday from 2pm to 9pm and overnight camping on Saturday night is free.

Sunday activities begin at 7:30am when registration opens with morning practice starting at 9am.
